“You gotta be shitting me. Is that cupid?”

Walker nodded. “What gave it away? The nude man with wings, the bow or the quiver full of arrows?” Walker asked, sarcasm dripping from his voice.

Here’s another snippet from my current WIP, the sequel to Cookies for Santa. In this scene, Spinelli, the tough homicide detective, is called out of bed to investigate a murder.

He leaned forward and brushed his lips lightly across hers. He knew he had to keep it light or he wouldn’t be able to leave. She didn’t play fair. She reached up, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pulled him to her. He let her, he was weak. His mind was mush.

Since August I’ve been posting snippets from my novella, Cookies for Santa, which was released by Melange Books on November 5th and is available on LULU, and soon to be available on Amazon in kindle format.

Life didn’t end for Spinelli and Shannon in Cookies for Santa.  In fact, life is taking them on another adventure in my current WIP (to be named at a later date).  In this scene it looks as though rough, tough, Homicide Detective Spinelli has been tamed…but for how long?

she slept.

This is the last snippet from Cookies for Santa before it is released tomorrow by Melange Books.  Shortly before this scene, Spinelli nabbed the killer and the heart of his little Santa’s helper.  Things are looking up…but for how long?

“Ah, Spinelli, why are you still dressing like Santa? You’ve solved the case, your undercover job as Santa is over.”

Before he could answer Jackson the sound of women’s heels clicking on the old hardwood floor echoed throughout the precinct. They both turned their heads in the direction of the noise to find Shannon crossing the precinct floor dressed in her little Santa helper outfit.

Spinelli turned his head back in Jackson’s direction. He flashed his lady-killer smile, raised and lowered his eyebrows a couple of times and finished off with a little wink, “That’s why,” he said as he pointed in Shannon’s direction.
